Healthy Bones for Life Exercise and Education Program

The Healthy Bones for Life Exercise and Education Program is a community- based program designed for men and women who are 55+. The exercise program consists of weight-bearing exercises, muscle strengthening, flexibility, posture training, and balance exercises. Cost: Free for Members/$10 per quarter for Program Guests
Mah Jongg Lessons
Thursdays, September 12 to November 7, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Learn how to play American Mah Jongg, a fascinating, rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards. Over seven weeks, Criss Macaione will teach players the basics of understanding the tiles and current Mah Jongg card and how to select and strengthen a winning hand. The Arthritis Foundation Walk With Ease Program is an exercise program that can reduce pain and improve overall health. If you can be on your feet for 10 minutes without increased pain, you can have success with Walk With Ease.

He is the Founder and Chief Education Officer of Inside The Middle East, a non-profit dedicated to providing an apolitical, non-partisan education about the Middle East.

Personal Writing Projects & Exploration

This personalized workshop is for anyone who has a writing project they would like to work on, or who wants to begin a writing project. We will be working on elements of craft and writing that are applicable to both fiction and nonfiction, to short stories and novels and compilations of memory. We will utilize a variety of mentor texts, with nonfiction such as Fransisco Cantu’s The Line Becomes a River and fiction including Jeffy Offill’s Weather. All texts are included.
